*Students need to pick up their lunch boxes each Friday from the cafeteria table.  Because of problems with ants and/or mice, we cannot allow items to be left indefinately and will dispose of items not picked up.

 

*Just a reminder to parents:  Students are not allowed to have cell phones turned on during school hours.  MMS policy is "phones off and out of sight".  Phones will be confiscated if a student is caught using their phone for any purpose during school hours, this includes texting.  We've had several recent incidents of students borrowing other student's phones to text home when they are not feeling well.  There is a student phone in the office for that purpose.  If a cell phone gets confiscated, the parent or friend's parent has to come to the school to get it back.  Thank you for your cooperation.

 

*There will be no free physicals offered this year.  Any student who wants to try out for a sport next school year will have to get their physical done at their doctor's office.  If you have any questions, please contact the school.

 

*2009-2010 Schools of Choice Dates:

       Spring,  2009          Applications available

       June 26, 2009         Districts to post which schools, grades have openings

       July 6, 2009            RESA will place a notice in local newspapers

       July 31, 2009          Applications due to RESA by 4:00 PM

       August 3, 2009       Review process begins

       August 21, 2009     Deadline for final decisions by districts in the reviw process.  Parent

                                      notification letters and confirmation forms to be mailed by RESA

                                      no later than August 26, 2009.

 

*On Monday, May 18, 2009, we will have an assembly at 8:00 AM dealing with Internet Safety. All students will attend and parents are invited.

 

*Please remind your child to dress appropriately for school.  "Appropriate Dress" is located on page six (6) of your child's planner.

 

*We are having 6th Grade Parent Orientation on Tuesday, May 26, at 6:30 PM in the middle school cafeteria.
